Ultra Violet water treatment is used to kill bacteria in water. It has always been associated with ensuring safe drinking water from well, spring and borehole supplies though, with increasing legislation, use within food and drink related industries is becoming more common.
UV treatment is one of the safest ways to disinfect water as the rays are a natural component of sunlight. No chemicals are added so there is no danger from overdosing or creating a bad taste. Care must be taken to choose a model that is powerful enough to treat the flow required.
Where levels of sediment are high or water is cloudy a pre-filter should be fitted as shadowing from the particles could stop the UV rays reaching the organisms.

Our UV product range starts at 8 watts (4 litres per minute) and progresses to multi-tube commercial and industrial units at 1,500 litres per minute (2.3kilowatts) and above.

Commercial Ultra Violet Systems from UKh2o

We supply a range of commercial stainless steel Ultraviolet systems, for effective sterilization in applications where larger flow rates are required.
Our commercial multi-lamp range (UV-C models) will deal with flow rates of 72 litres per minute and above, and are available with several port sizes as required.
If flow rates of 36 litres per minute or less are required please see our domestic ultra violet sterilization systems.
